Rabbit rescue – Mar 2013
We all had to do this – it’s when you draw something you find on your doorstep and you don’t know where to take it. I found a rabbit on my doorstep [left]. And I decided that I needed to take some pizza, a backpack and a map [centre]. And I took the rabbit to Africa [right].
Superman cut out – Dec 2012
D: Look – it’s Superman!
Me: Oh yes – he’s got the cape! What’s the yellow bit?
D: You know that bit on his chest that goes like that [makes a squiggle on his chest]?Me: With the ‘S’ for Superman on it?
D: Yes – it’s that bit – on his chest. I used a bit of yellow pom pom.
[Dream]
D: I wish I was Iceman.
Me: Do you? Why?
D: Because he can shoot ice. I had a dream about him. I was Iceman.
Me: Ah – did you save anyone?
D: No, it was only a short one. I did an ice swirl into a hole because there were lots of green goblins, and we ran up it. But Firestar was flying, and so all the heat around her melted the ice – I told her to run! My best friend Liam was there and while the ice was melting he fell down and it started to crack. Then he fell off and onto a roof and he had to go to hospital. Then the dream started again and that’s the end.
Little Wolf on the Moon – Sept 2012
D: A little wolf is stuck on the moon, so the big wolf has an idea and jumps on that colourful trampoline [in orange, grey, yellow and green] and goes up and catches Little Wolf in his hand. He comes back down and lands on another trampoline which can tell when he’s coming and turns into a nice, soft, grassy landing. And it’s a wolf machine – that’s the wolf, there – with the green eyes. All the other wolves are just chasing sheep. I wrote ‘trampoline’ on it.
Firefighter rescues burning bee – March 2012
D: That’s a bee and some flowers. One day, a fireman came along and there was lots of fire, so he went back and got his hose and he shoots water all round the fire.
