25th Jan 2014: Something to swap?
We managed to get out on our bikes again today, before the storm came. I didn’t think to bring any treasure to exchange in any geocaches – we were going to have to leave a plaster (unused!), until we bumped into Brian who gave us a slightly more useful bunch of natural twine! Dylan gained a mini photo frame (we were trying to work out if the picture was of a ‘real person’ or just a placeholder). Must keep some small swapsies by the bikes…

11th Jan 2014: Treasure Hunting on Two Wheels
This afternoon we went Geocaching and found some awesome treasure. For the first time, we BOTH took our un-stabilised bikes out together and Dylan was even able to push start himself a few times!

DIRECTIONS TO THE TREASURE – Age 5
It’s from art. It’s where someone finds an arrow, then they find another one, and another one – and they lead them all around. Then they find different coloured arrows – they lead all around. Then they find different coloured arrows – lead them all around. Find different coloured arrows, lead them all around, and then finally, there’s the treasure!
There’s one ruby and one diamond. And all the circles are the money. And the person fills up as much as possible in their pockets as they can… And their hat – because they have a hat.

Easter egg hunt – March 2013

It’s our garden and you’ve got to try and find the Easter eggs. But watch out, because some are FALSE Easter eggs!

That’s a flower on the table, that big tall purple one is a big apple tree and there’s grass all around to hunt for eggs in. They’re the steps to the gym [left], that’s the weight lifter in the gym [far left, on top of the door], but instead of weights at each end, it’s got EASTER EGGS!

D: Did it hurt when I got the fly out of your eye?

Me: No, you were very gentle – Doctor Dylan.

D: Yes, I’m a doctor – like in Crete, when I made my tummy-ache go away. And I’m a scientist – remember – from my birthday? And I’m a money-finder. A doctor, a scientist and a money-finder.

Me: That sounds like a good mixture of things to be.

D: Yes, I’m REALLY good at finding money on the floor. I’ll find some for you, because you said you don’t have any…
Look! Oh, it’s a button… But it’s sparkly! Do you want it?

Me: Not really, thanks for asking though. It wouldn’t match any of my other buttons.

D: You want them to match?!

Robot Treasure Hunt – Sept 2012

D: That’s a robot and he’s doing an Easter Egg hunt – that’s a chocolate ladybird, and that’s a chocolate egg [in green, bottom right]. That’s a crocodile [in black, bottom right] and that’s a flag to start the race [centre].
