3 mile cycle ride for Sport Relief
March 22, 2014

Dylan wanted to get involved and do something for Sport Relief this weekend, so we decided to sponsor each other to do a 3 mile cycle ride.

Including the odd pause for a chocolate power pellet and to rehydrate… and a half time break at the park… we completed our challenge in about an hour and a half!

My goals – Feb 2013

D: My goals are… to be a scientist. That’s you [in blue]; that’s me, with a potion. I’ve got a snack in one hand – it’s an apple – and some of the apple has got into the mixture there, in red. That’s fog, above it, and they’re drops that are coming out of the potion. If you get any of the drops on you, you get more eyes. You’ve got six eyes and I’ve got nine eyes. They’re more bottles for experiments at the bottom.

Inflatable football
February 24, 2013

inflatablefootballMe: What did you do at Sports Camp today?

D: Dodgeball, and inflatable football – do you know what inflatable football is?

Me: Is it where you play with an inflatable football?

D: Yes, well, you know the big football pitch that I told you about before?

Me: The one outside?

D: Yes – we played on that and I got gold for my team! I was the only one in our team to get a goal – and so I got 159 points!

Me: Well done! That’s a lot of points for a goal – it MUST have been special.

D: Yes, I was the ONLY one, so it was – how many points did I say?

Fantastic footballer – Jan 2013

D: We had to draw a picture of something we’re fantastic at.
I drawed that I’m fantastic at playing football. That’s me, with the ball in purple.
That’s the goal [in light blue, on the right], and I’m kicking the ball into the goal!
They’re all people who are trying to get the ball so they can get a goal, but they can’t!

Clever football strategies

D: I’m playing football with my two invisible friends – they’re taking in in turns to be goalie. Kick – kick – score!
Me: Is it quite easy to score goals against your invisible friends?
D: Yes, because you know my invisible friends? They’re not real – they’re imaginary. Do you know anything that’s real that’s invisible?
Me: Magic?
D: No, you can see magic powers… I know – wind, because you can’t see it but you can feel it.
