Warning: Robin Hood will steal your house
March 11, 2016

This is what I did – it was a poster from the Sheriff of Nottingham:

Do Not Enter This Forest

Robin Hood is a mean, disruptive figure who has no care for you and will have no care for killing you. He has not paid his taxes and will do anything to get his house back. He will even dress up as you and steal your house. So beware – keep away from this maniac person!

I did a picture of Robin Hood with a couple of trees in the background; one with apples on, one with oranges on and one just plain. I let his arrows show and his face was like this [does sly look].

Exploring cultures: Canada?

placeunknownEXPLORING CULTURES: CANADA?
It’s that place with all mountains and stick men. There are forests and mountains and a lake and a river.
There’s a dog, down at the bottom. That’s the sun and those swirly shapes are just decorations. The people are holding spears. Where’s that country?

Mum: It looks sandy, is it somewhere with a desert?

Boy: No – I don’t know why we had to do it sandy.

Mum: Is it Canada?

Boy: Yes! And that’s a deer, not a dog.

THE CRAZY ONE
It’s Forest School! There’s one tree that’s CRAZY in Forest School – that’s the crazy tree [left]. They’re just normal trees [left], that brown’s the bark on the floor and there’s the blue sky above.

greatoutdoorsSon: I LOVE Forest School! We got to play ‘1-2-3 Where Are You?’

Mum: And where were you?

Son: In the forest, silly! And there was a Cloak tree.

Mum: Do you mean an Oak tree?

Son: No! It was a Cloak tree – like the Cloakroom at school, but outside. We had to hang our hi-vis jackets on it.
