Mmm… Sweaty biscuits
August 8, 2013

sweatybiscuitsMum: Did you make the cakes today or just decorate them?

Boy: We just decorated them.

Mum: How did you decorate yours?

Boy: We had to do something sporty on them and mine was awesome!

Mum: What was it?

Boy: It was me – sweating! Because I was running so much. And I really did that today – I ran a lot.
Actually it wasn’t me sweating, it was me with a swoosh behind me – you know when you’re running SO fast that the air swooshes? It tasted sooooo yummy.

Headless newt
July 15, 2013

headlessnewtMum: Ah – you’re new teacher will be Mr T.

Boy: Yes! I’m going to be in Newts.

Mum: Are you happy about that?

Boy: Yes, he’s the only boy teacher and he let me make cookies!

Mum: You did cooking at school with the Year 2s? Did everyone do cooking?

Boy: No! Year 2s were visiting THEIR new teachers, and Mr T gave us all two jobs to do when we went to visit him.

Mum: Ah! And what were your jobs?

Boy: Making cookies and writing.

Mum: I see. What did you write?

Boy: I writed “Where is the newt’s head?” Because there was a picture of a newt and it looked like it didn’t have a head, but then I saw it head WAS there, because I could see its eyes. Mr T said he thought it was a brilliant sentence though.

Having a giggle
May 3, 2013

havingagiggleSon: In Gigglebiz on CBeebies people are always cooking and, every time they cook, they put one of Tony’s things in – like his old boots, or his socks, or his tie, or his trousers!

Mum: That wouldn’t taste very nice would it?

Son: No – and do you know why they do it? Because it’s on Gigglebiz and that’s where they do lots of stuff that’s funny – lots of silly stuff!
